At the beginning of your course, you will be presented with your course guide material, manual, handbook and homework journal. You will be given an induction day which will introduce you to the salon environment and mandatory aspects of health and safety and risk assessment. Throughout the course, you will be undertaking practical grooming and styling training, working through the Heavenlyz course guide and preparing to undertake a number of practical assessments while studying the theory described in the qualification handbook. When you have completed the training course and are ready, you’ll be prepared for a practical assessment to demonstrate what you have learned and also be invited to undertake a computer-based online exam to demonstrate you have studied your theory material. Once your practical assessment and theory exam have been approved by City & Guilds all you have to do is sit back, relax and wait for your City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate for Dog Grooming Assistants to arrive. This is proof of your level of competence and achievement which you worked so hard for. You will also be presented with a Certificate of Achievement from FCL. For an in-depth discussion regarding this process, please arrange a visit to FCL where we will be delighted to answer all the questions you may have.
