After completing the Level 3 Award, the AIM Level 3 Diploma should be registered within one year.
This permits 15 days of accrued learning hours from the AIM Level 3 Award to be carried forward to the AIM Level 3 Diploma, making this course 27 days.
Course Details
This is a continuation course for existing FCL Students who have completed the AIM Level 3 Award, from which the guided learning hours can be carried forward to the Diploma Course if undertaken or registered within one year. This is an Ofsted Nationally Recognised Qualification. After payment to Heavenlyz, you will receive the course guide material, manual, handbook and homework journal. Throughout the course, you will be undertaking practical training, working through the Heavenlyz course guide and preparing to undertake a practical assessment. You will be required to provide photographic evidence of your practical work for assessment, which should show clear images of you standing behind your dog. We will guide you in this process.
To achieve this qualification, you need to complete nine units;
Carry out Maintenance and Coat Preparation on Dogs
Promote and Monitor Health and Safety within the Grooming Environment
Promote, Monitor and Maintain the Health and Wellbeing of Dogs
Understanding Legislation in the Dog Grooming Industry
Canine First Aid in the Grooming Environment
Customer Consultation on Planning Grooming and Styles
Customer Relations and Expectations
Handle, Restrain and Move Dogs within the Grooming Environment
Carry out Styling and Finishing Techniques
Diploma evidence will include the following:
• Evidence recorded of five dogs in the journal to include the 5-coat types with six head styles, two trimming techniques, and one hand stripping technique demonstrated.
• Approximately 120 written questions/activities
• Practical assessment of Kennel Club breed with 6th head style.
• Final assessment Attendance at Heavenlyz Pet First Aid is mandatory, whether already attended or planned.
