Who are we looking for?

Our ideal apprentice is someone who is reliable, well presented, personable and thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. They understand that luxury grooming is about far more than styling dogs—it’s about creating an outstanding experience for every dog and every client, paying attention to every detail and taking pride in every aspect of their work.
Attention to Detail
Previous grooming experience isn’t essential. What matters most is your character, commitment and willingness to embrace our values of excellence, compassion, professionalism and continual improvement. Learn Focused Career Skills in Weeks Instead of Years
Throughout your apprenticeship, you’ll build confidence, master practical grooming skills, develop outstanding customer service and learn the highest standards of canine care, welfare and salon professionalism and maintenance.
You’ll gain experience with a wide variety of breeds, coat types, preparation, coat treatments and grooming techniques while developing the knowledge and confidence needed to build a rewarding long-term career.

What Next…
Successful candidates will then be referred to Canine Groom School for registration and support, and to guide you through the apprenticeship process.
- Earn while you learn – receive a wage while gaining practical experience in a real grooming salon or animal care business.
- A nationally recognised qualification – complete a government-funded Level 2 or Level 3 apprenticeship without paying tuition fees.
- Hands-on industry experience – work with real dogs every day, learning professional grooming techniques in a commercial environment.
- One-to-one support – receive coaching from experienced tutors alongside guidance from your employer.
- Free City and Guilds Qualification With Canine Groom School.
