PRICING

All prices published on our breed price guide assume a reasonable condition and temperament.

Condition and Behaviour

The general state of the coat and skin is referred to as being in reasonable condition. Please refer to the description of the coat condition below. To meet the needs of the breed and coat type, a healthy coat should be brushed or maintained. Many coat types need time, consistent work, and the right equipment for proper maintenance. The suitability of skin conditions for grooming can be determined individually.

Temperament refers to behaviour. Physical behaviour: energy, lethargicness, aggression/biting, and state of health. Psychological behaviour: fear, anxiety, and level of social conditioning.

There will be additional fees for the extra time, materials, and tools needed to de-mat unmaintained coats, as well as for dogs whose temperament or health also necessitate more time. Aggressive dogs are not allowed. Due to owner neglect, we reserve the right to refuse services to remove matted or felted coats as a salon that promotes responsible dog ownership.

The owner is accountable for the well-being and condition of the dog’s skin and coat (along with its socialisation, training, and physical and psychological health). Choosing a dog breed requires a commitment, and professional grooming is an essential part of that commitment. The coat condition, which results from effective at-home grooming, and the temperament, which results from socialisation and training, demonstrate this level of dedication.

We can arrange an appointment to meet the owner and dog for a free consultation before the first grooming appointment to assess their condition and temperament. A health check and coat assessment are always carried out before each grooming session with the owner or carer present, or we will contact you if the coat is found to be in a neglected condition once grooming commences.

Final Price

This will be decided after taking everything into account. A well-kept dog kept in a reasonable state between grooming appointments and displaying well-adjusted and socialised behaviour is typically priced as stated in our Price Guide. Every dog and puppy introduction is evaluated continuously and priced individually.

Due to aggressive behaviour, we reserve the right to call you and suspend service if we cannot safely complete your dog under the Animal Welfare Act of 2006 provisions. A £25 fee will be charged if your dog has been bathed and dried by us. If not, there will be a £15 fee. If this is the case, you will generally be advised to pursue behavioural training as a course of action.

A fee of £15.00 per dog will be charged for no-shows or missed appointments without 24 hours’ notice; this fee is due at your next appointment.

Most of the time, appointments must be rescheduled if you arrive more than 30 minutes late, and a £15.00 missed appointment fee might also be charged.

FURST CLASS LOUNGE Ltd reserve the right to amend these terms, conditions of service and pricing without prior notice.
